CLIENT EXPERIENCE GUIDE

- Preschool & Kindergarten Graduation -

ARRIVAL

LOCATION:

The session will take place at my home studio, which is located at:

56 Gettysburg Way in Lincoln Park, NJ.

When you get there, park in the parking spot labeled "56" or any other spot that does not have a number.

TIMING:

Please plan to arrive on-time. These sessions are back to back so if you are late, you will be running into someone else's time slot and I may not be able to accommodate you. If you are early, please wait in the car and wait for me to wave you in. If the door is open - just come on in!

DURING THE SESSION

These sessions are quick - just 10-15 minutes. Please arrive READY TO GO! If you need to change into a shirt or something real quick, that's fine but keep in mind that it will come out of your session time.

SET DESIGN & PROPS:

Please refer to your booking. You chose either the Christmas Living Room or the Red and White Christmas Tree backdrop. I will have a bench for seating and some other props to go with the set. If you would like to bring something specific to include in your photos, please feel free.

PREPARE

GENERAL:

Please make sure your child's skin is moisturized well on the days leading up to the session. Dry skin flakes can be common, especially around the nose. However, do NOT moisturize right before the session as it may make the skin shiny and will be nearly impossible to edit out. Please bring wipes, as we will do a sweep of the nose to remove anything we don’t want in the photos! Make sure fingernails are clean and trimmed. They will be visible in the photos. Please don't give chocolate, red sauce or anything that will stain the skin around the mouth right before the session. If wearing nail polish, please make sure it's a neutral color and not chipped.

STYLING TIPS

GENERAL:

Keep in mind that solid colors tend to photograph best. Please avoid busy patterns and logos as these can be distracting. NO TEXT on the clothing. Whatever you choose, make sure it is fitted! Oversized clothing looks sloppy. Make sure you try the outfit on before hand and that it is ironed/steamed.

LADIES

Dress it up! Flowey dresses/skirts photograph beautifully and are flattering on every body type.

Some women like to get their hair and makeup professionally done for the session. It’s not necessary, but you may want to do so. This is a great time to get a manicure as well. At the very least, please make sure any chipped nail polish is removed. A coat of clear polish can go a long way too!

Don't forget your accessories! A statement necklace or earrings will add a little flair to your photos. Whatever you decide, your clothes should fit well and you should be comfortable!

GENTLEMEN

Fitted pants and closed toed shoes are recommended for men. Layers such as blazers or sweaters will look great over a collared shirt.

Don't forget the details! Ties, colored socks, watches can pull the look together. Again, the colors should reflect the season.

Please make sure your clothes are ironed if needed. Nails should be clean and trimmed.

BOYS:

Button-down or collared polo style shirts with jeans or dress pants. Shoes that match the outfit, preferably not athletic sneakers. Please clean the bottom of shoes and bring them with you to change into when you arrive.

GIRLS:

A dress/skirt/romper with or without tights. Shoes that match the outfit. Please clean the bottom of shoes and bring them with you to change into when you arrive.

AFTER THE SESSION

TURN-AROUND TIME:

You can expect your soft proofs (lightly edited images) to be sent to you in an online gallery via email about 1 week after your session! From there, you will create a favorites list. It's ok if you can't limit your choices to just the three that are included in the package; there will be on option to purchase additional images if you desire. Once your list is made, you will send me a quick email to let me know. I will then make the final edits on the photos you have chosen and send a link for you to download them. This could take up to 2 weeks from the time you finalize your favorites list. I try my best to turn around photos faster as quickly as possible.

PRINTS & WALL ART:

Your digital images are high-resolution images that will print beautifully. If you would like to order prints, an album, announcement/thank you cards, or other photo gifts, I can help you do that too! I work with an amazing lab that creates beautiful professional products!
